You must be, or wholly and authentically identify as a woman* in order to attend the Travel Fly Solo Holiday. 

You must be over the age of 25 by August 1, 2024. 

You must have a valid passport that will NOT be within 6 months of expiration as of August 1, 2024. If so, we do not recommend booking with us until your passport is properly renewed. This is by the request of the governments of The UAE and Oman.

U.S. citizens should be aware that countries can deny foreigners entry if they have been charged or convicted of a serious crime. For more information on entry requirements, review the information on www.travel.state.gov or contact the consulate for the destinations you’re traveling to.

It is the traveler's responsibility to provide the correct documents, and failure to do so may result in being denied boarding for the flight. Regrettably, we cannot refund unused flights, hotels, or add-ons because of denied boarding situations.

Considerations

If you think you will not be able to move freely or are restricted by disability, please contact us so that we may make arrangements to the best of our ability BEFORE you book. The UAE and Oman do not have ADA regulations like the United States. Therefore, services may be limited, and costs may apply. Contact: travel@parlourtravel.com. This experience will involve multiple excursions by car; if you are prone to car-sickness please prepare in advance.

Depending on where you are flying from, getting to Dubai will involve at least 1 connecting flight and potentially an overnight journey. Plan accordingly and consider walking times from terminals, the chance of flight delays, and more when planning with the Travel By Design team or booking your own flight.

This experience has been designed for seasoned travelers. If you have never traveled to, or through the Middle East, we strongly advise that you take time to research the region, your travel path, and more so you can navigate to The UAE safely and manage your expectations. There should be no expectation of English to be spoken outside of tourist-heavy locales such as airports, hotels, and popular restaurants and tours, so preparation is key!

The #TravelFly Solo traveler is for the woman who values independence. While we have included a host of group excursions and dinners/lunches, this is not a traditional group trip in which you are expected to attend all activities. If you wish, you can opt-out of any of the tours and activities and plan your own adventure. Outside of PARLOUR planned activities, you are responsible for reserving, booking, and transportation to and from any tours, excursions, meals, and such that are not included in the itinerary.

The #TravelFly Solo Holiday is designed to cater to every style. Some will want to party non-stop. Some want to pool and chill...all day. Some want a bit of both. Some will form small crews, some will choose to remain solo, some will do a little of both. With that, we expect our travelers to build their own experience and ask that you be open to and respectful of this before agreeing to attend.

Additionally, respect for local culture and tradition is mandatory while on the excursion. Absolutely no displays of rudeness, disrespect, or disregard will be tolerated during any of our activities, and offending guests will be asked to return to the hotel with no refunds issued.

Though much of the experience, offers, products, and programming that we have will cater to Black women from all over the African Diaspora, this experience is open and welcome to women of all ethnicities.

Can I come by myself? 
Absolutely! We encourage it. Trust us, you won’t get lonely.

Can I bring my friend? 
Yes! If you have a roommate in mind, it is important that you both submit your requests at the same time. Once you and your girl are ready, be sure to select Double Occupancy and name each other in your reservation. If you are planning to come with a friend we do NOT recommend paying your deposit until your friend is also ready to pay within 24 hours as your deposit is non-refundable after that time period.

Can I bring my man/woman/partner/bae, etc?
To quote Beyonce…”ladies leave your man at home.”
For those who want to bring their same-sex partner, we ask that you be mindful that others have left their partners at home.

I paid my deposit, am I booked? 
Except for travelers who are awaiting for their roommate to book, yes!

Is this trip refundable? Are my payments refundable?
No. To get the lowest rate, this is a non-refundable experience. But there are ways to protect your purchase in the event that the trip is postponed or you have to cancel. Please refer to this article for details about travel insurance, in which you will have recourse to receive your monies back.

I want to be paired with a roommate. What should I know?
Due to COVID and other factors, we no longer offer this service at this time.

Can I upgrade my room? 
Yes! Please inquire if you want to book a suite, etc. 

Can I book my hotel on my own? 
In order to be considered a confirmed traveler and participate in our events, you must book through our travel team. Short answer: no.

Should I book my flight on my own? 
Yes! Travel By Design will take care of your hotel reservation and make a note of your arrival and departure time for your airport transfer. 

If I am in the region at that time, or book my own arrangements can I come to your events? 
Our official events, gifts and other experiences are exclusively for our confirmed travelers.  Say hi should you be in the area, but all official PARLOUR events are closed to non #TravelFly Solo guests.

What if I need to arrive later, leave earlier, etc? 
We have arranged it so you can tailor your stay to your liking, including when you arrive and leave. Our hotel discount may change for shorter or longer stays; specify that via the reservations form.
